Attention 8th graders interested in trying out for HHS JV Drill Team for the 2023-2024 school year. Here are important dates for you to remember.
March 1st-9th - sign ups in HMS front office
March 9th @ 6:00 - Mandatory tryout meeting at HHS main gym
March 20th-24th - Tryout material taught at HHS Lionette gym
March 25th - Tryouts at HHS Lionette gym
HMS Parent Involvement Night will be Monday, February 27th, 4:00-6:00. The HHS Drill team will be performing around 4:30 and will the director, Mrs. Hachtel, will be available for any questions regrading the HHS and HMS drill team.

At approximately 1 pm, local authorities alerted the district of a possible threat to an un-named school in the area. All HISD campuses went into lockdown. The suspect has been apprehended and is in custody. The lockdown has been lifted.

All campuses are currently following their normal schedules at this time. While students on all campuses did shelter in place earlier during the tornado warning for the city of Henderson, students returned to their classes once the danger passed. We are continuing to watch weather conditions closely and will update if necessary.

Join us for a night of Books, Art, and Music on Tuesday, December 13th. The book fair will be open until 6:30. There will be an art gallery walk in the cafeteria. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands will perform their Christmas concerts beginning at 5:30.

Veterans Day Celebration this Friday, November 11th. Veterans' breakfast 7:20-7:50am. Assembly 7:50-8:30am.
Join us on Tuesday, November 15th, 4:00-6:00pm for parent night. You will have an opportunity to learn about 8th grade scheduling for HHS, 6th/7th grade high school credit opportunities offered at HMS, and a library scavenger hunt. Teachers will be reaching out to schedule conferences as needed for that evening.
