Mrs. Catie's class was full of baristas who were using their skills to make the "perfect blend." They were able to practice their cvc words, letters, writing their names, math, and fine motor skills. Our favorite station was the "Pumpkin Spice we are so Nice" where they were able to write kind words to each other!

Big Kahuna Fundraiser update!

Mrs. Quintanilla and Mrs. Vences put on a show for us to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month! National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. Mrs. Quintanilla's class performed "La Raspa" for all of the students at Wylie Primary. A big shout out to Leticia Martinez and Manuel Becerra for coming to perform two traditional Hispanic dances!

Our first Friday with Dudes at Drop-Off! Thank you to Medgar Roberts, Judson Knight, and Brian Fisher coming to greet students this morning! If you are interested in joining this group on Fridays, please follow the link below to the Google form!

October Newsletter!

Have a good 3-day weekend!

There will be no school for students this day but students and parents are welcome to come see us for this event at 4:00 pm!

Mrs. Brown’s class has been practicing the school song every Friday! By the end of the year, they will have it perfected. It’s never too early to learn about school spirit and it’s a bonus when you can teach colors and letters along with it. Once a Lion always a Lion! 🦁

An area-wide power outage affected HHS and Northside this afternoon around 2:35pm, interrupting classes. All students were safe. Fortunately, the power was restored just before 3 p.m. and most classes have resumed. Pick-up and bus runs should operate as normal.

Mrs. Vences and Mrs. King's classes visit the library! Students love going to the library to listen to Mrs. Morgan read and they get to check out books to take home to read!
