Students at the WEP and WPS are being evacuated due to the presence of smoke in the common areas of the building. Fire crews are responding to the scene to investigate. All students are safe at this time.

An ambulance was dispatched to our Wylie Campuses a few minutes ago to assist a child nutrition employee who was experiencing a minor medical emergency. The campus was placed on a brief "hold" while first responders assisted the employee. All students are safe. The campus should return to normal classes soon.
Spring Break is here for HISD! We will have an early release on Friday, March 7 at 12:15pm at Wylie Elementary School. Spring Break is March 10-14. Classes will resume Tues. March 18.
Power has been restored at Wylie Primary and Wylie Elementary. Thank you for your patience as utility crews worked to resolve the issue. Schools are operating as normal.

Our 1st grade students are hosting a fairy tale parade on Friday March 7, 2025. The schedule is as follows:

9:00am- Odum, Ellis, Starling, Skelton, England

Wylie Elementary Book Fair begins tomorrow, Feb. 27 and will be open thru March 6. The book fair will also be open late on Thurs. Feb. 27 until 6:30pm for shopping. We hope to see everyone there.

Wylie Elementary School will be celebrating 100 days of School on Monday Feb. 3, 2025. 1st grade students can celebrate by dressing like they are 100 years old and 2nd grade will be have their hat parade in which students will decorate a hat with 100 objects. 3rd grade will be doing 100 day celebration activities in their classrooms.
