Wylie Elementary would like to recognize Mrs. Jill Smith, Wylie Elementary Diagnostician, for Educational Diagnostician's week.
Educational diagnosticians are superheroes for schools and children with special needs. They are the expert in the room when it comes to learning disability, teaching methods, and academic testing requirements. Educational diagnosticians can help students to excel by diagnosing learning delays, finding strategies to customize educational plans for the students, monitoring the students’ progress to see if the plan is working, and finding relevant accommodations. Our Educational Diagnostician, Mrs. Jill Smith, is the best of the best. You will often find her working with students in the morning, eating with students at lunch, and consulting with teachers about students above and beyond what any mere mortal “diag” would do. We really appreciate Mrs. Smith and all she does for Wylie Elementary School, its students and its teachers.
