A medical incident occurred this afternoon at our Primary campus. A staff member experienced a minor medical issue, and our campus nurse promptly responded. Out of an abundance of caution, paramedics were called to assist, but transportation to the hospital was not necessary. This incident did not disrupt any student activities, and everyone is safe. We appreciate the swift and professional response from our nurse and the paramedics. - HISD Administration

Attendance Promotion Week is happening this week. Students may wear Favorite Band/Music group shirts for Thursday- "Attendance Rocks" Attendance facts and tips- **Attendance is Linked to Graduation Rates**: Students who regularly attend school are more likely to graduate on time, while chronic absenteeism increases the likelihood of dropping out.

Attendance Promotion Week is happening this week. Students may wear PJs for Wednesday- "Don't sleep in for school." Attendance facts and tips- **Early Attendance Patterns Matter**: Good attendance in elementary school sets the foundation for success in middle and high school, as early absenteeism can predict future academic challenges.

Attendance Promotion Week begins tomorrow, Aug. 26. Students can wear hats to school on Monday - "Attendance is Top Priority." Attendance facts and tips- 1**Consistent Attendance Boosts Academic Success**: Students who attend school regularly are more likely to perform better in Reading and Math compared to those who are frequently absent.

Next week, Aug. 26-30, Wylie Elementary School will participate in Attendance Promotion Week . To celebrate these days, students will be allowed to dress up as we acknowledge the importance of regular school attendance. Please refer to the flyer for the dress up days.

Wylie Elementary teachers and staff will be hosting their annual book run tomorrow, Wednesday 8/7/24! Come by Yates Park between 4:30-6pm for a free book, snack, and drink. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening at this event.

Online registration is open for all HISD students. All students must complete online registration in Skyward prior to meet the teacher, which is Monday Aug. 12.
